BODY – MIND – SPIRIT

In the above diagram we see that our MIND is split into two parts, RIGHT and WRONG. Right mind is the home of spirit and reason while wrong mind is the home of ego. BODY was made from the mistaken perception of our ego to be its personification here in our world, also a mis-perception of ego. The RIGHT part of our split mind is connected to spirit, having given birth to it. The WRONG part of our mind makes body/world as the mistaken perception of itself.
THERE IS NO CONNECTION BETWEEN wrong mind and spirit, therefore THERE IS NO CONNECTION BETWEEN body and spirit and there NEVER CAN BE ANY. To believe that body can do, be, think anything that effects spirit, is a mistaken belief. Therefore anything that we do with body or our mistaken wrong mind cannot have any effect upon spirit whatsoever.
We can practice all the regimens of diet, exercise, “holy” or special thinking, either privately or in groups and they will have NO EFFECT WHATSOEVER on our spirit mind. We did not make spirit mind; that was given us by God in our creation. We made body/mind from our mistaken WRONG MIND. Any and all of our body’s five senses plus our wrong mind itself can only tell us of our wrong mind. Since this is all illusion, they cannot tell us anything about TRUTH. Only SPIRIT mind can do that. But to access our spirit (right) mind, we must give up any and all loyalty to our ego (wrong) mind. We can enter into the absolute QUIET of our spirit mind and meet our own Holy Spirit there. Holy Spirit is the memory God’s Love in our mind and is always there to answer and guide us when we ASK. Holy Spirit does not DO things for us, but can advise us how we can do them to keep us in the Flow of God’s Love.
That Love is our natural condition and our inheritance. It is what we are. “I am not a body, I am free, for I am still as God created me.”
In truth, we never left the Flow of That Love, but we thought we had, giving rise to our wrong mind, thoughts of specialness and our whole body/world illusion. Remember:-
Wrong mind influences body.
Right mind influences spirit.
Wrong mind cannot influence spirit.
Right mind cannot influence body. There is NO CONNECTION between body and spirit.
There is NO CONNECTION between wrong mind and right mind.
Each is mutually exclusive.
In actual fact, there is no wrong mind, it being the product of our sleeping mind always and forever at Home in the Kingdom of God’s Heaven. Part of our mind has fallen asleep and is dreaming the dream, which we believe is real when viewed from our wrong mind. Constantly Holy Spirit calls to us to awaken and be back to our Self where God would have us be.
As soon as we are willing to see ourself differently and make the choice for the Truth of our Self in place of the self we made, Holy Spirit will lift us out of our dream to the “lawns of heaven” in His real world where we wait for God’s last step in lifting us Home.
How we “escape” a dream, is to wake up from it. It does no good to stay in the dream and try to make it better, which brings us to the final realization that “the sole responsibility of the miracle worker (and that’s all of us) is to accept the Atonement for himself.” That means with our Holy Spirit’s help, we begin to “remember” what and where we are in truth. Once we can fully realize this as fact and truth, we have escaped the dream and are back to where we never really left at all.
All there is is God and His One Creation, the Son of God. We, as spirit mind, are all part of that Son which is called Christ, being “all living things.” These Parts are not living things as we judge them to be from our perception here in our world, but rather all the “things” that God thinks. If He thinks it, it is. If He doesn’t “think” it, it is not real and does not exist.
God’s “Word” is ONE. All the things He thinks (creates) are one with each other and with Him. Since there is no separation at this level of thought, all things are ONE together within God’s Mind.
We are instructed that our “way back” to the Heaven of God’s Mind, which we believe we left, is to join as ONE with all our brothers. This is the way to salvation that has been provided to us by Holy Spirit, the Voice for God. We begin by joining with one other brother, then another and another until no one has been left outside the circle of atonement. We first of all learn what it is that we ourself are, then go out and share that truth with our “brother.”
Our “brothers” are all those in our lives who have “been sent” to us for us to learn and remember about joining instead of separation. We thought we actually separated from them and God, and are now drifting all alone in a friendless and hostile world that is “out to get us.” It seems no matter what we do or how hard we work it is never enough and may eventually all fall apart. GOOD! That is what we came here to learn. From this we should be able to see that what we made is insane and not us at all. The quicker we come to this point and move through it by seeing ourself differently, the better it is for us.
Remember that whatever you are experiencing, YOU CHOSE! No one else! Not God, not your parents, your teachers, your priests, nor your “enemies.” You did it for your own best good as something you needed to learn. So, pay attention to the lesson you chose for your own salvation: -

“I am responsible for what I see,
I choose the feelings I experience,
And I decide upon the goal I would achieve.
And everything that seems to happen to me
I ask for; and receive as I have asked.”
(T-448/418)

Understand that this, which you have made, is not what God would have you be and that there IS another way just waiting for you to discover it.

A busy mind is a sick mind,
A quiet mind is a healthy mind,
A still mind is a divine mind.

THOUGHTS ON DEATH AND DYING

(Other than the way our world knows of it.)

“There is a kind or seeming death that has a different source. It does not come because of hurtful thoughts and raging anger at the universe. It merely signifies the end has come for usefulness of body functioning. And so it is discarded as a choice, as one lays by a garment now outworn.
This is what death should be; a quiet choice, made joyfully and with a sense of peace, because the body has been kindly used to help the Son of God along the way he goes to God. We thank the body, then, for all the service it has given us. But we are thankful, too, the need is done to walk the world of limits, and to reach the Christ in hidden form and clearly seen at most in lovely flashes. Now we can behold Him without blinders, in the light that we have learned to look upon again.
We call it death, but it is liberty. It does not come in forms that seem to be thrust down in pain upon unwilling flesh, but as a gentle welcome to release. If there has been true healing, this can be the form in which death comes when it is time to rest awhile from labor -gladly done and gladly ended. Now we go in peace to freer air and gentler climate, where it is not hard to see the gifts we gave were saved for us. For Christ is clearer now; His vision more sustained in us; His Voice, the Word of God, more certainly our own.
This gentle passage to a higher prayer, a kind forgiveness of the ways of earth, can only be received with thankfulness. Yet first true healing must have come to bless the mind with loving pardon for the sins it dreamed about and laid upon the world. Now are its dreams dispelled in quiet rest. Now its forgiveness comes to heal the world and it is ready to depart in peace, the journey over and the lessons learned.
This is not death according to the world, for death is cruel in its frightened eyes and takes the form of punishment for sin. How could it be a blessing, then? And how could it be welcome when it must be feared? What healing has occurred in such a view of what is merely opening the gate to higher prayer and kindly justice done? Death is reward and not a punishment.”

“At last the gate of Heaven opens and God’s Son is free to enter in the home that stands ready to welcome him, and was prepared before time was and still but waits for him.”

“Nor will death any more be feared because it has been understood. There is no fear in one who has been truly healed, for love has entered now where idols used to stand, and fear has given way at last to God.”

If we use reason to look at life and death another way, we will realize that we never died because what God creates CAN never die!
When we decided to leave our SELF as the Christ and come here to our body/world for an experience we thought we needed, it was at that instant that we died unto ourself. No matter how often we decide to die or live again here, all our lives have no real effect on God’s Creation.
When we see this important difference, death, as we know it looses all meaning and fear for us, and we simply awaken to our real SELF again. What a joyous surprise to all who thought the body was all they were!
